It was only a matter of time.
At five months old, Everly tagged along for her very first Entertainment Tonight shoot -- and it was with none other than Queen Christina Aguilera.
Long story short: Christina was set to announce her Las Vegas residency, The Xperience, while I was set to be home from work and gearing up for a red eye flight to the east coast. Meanwhile, my husband had just come down with the flu. (Side note: I will be updating my Travel Guide ASAP after this debacle.)
But when I got the call on my day off to go interview the original Dirrty girl, of course I said "YES!" I had spoken with her several times during her stint on "The Voice" and she is truly such a lovely person, as well as an icon.
With no child care and a sick husband, I had no choice but to bring baby girl along with me and thankfully Team Christina was happy to have her! When we arrived for the interview, Christina sweetly baby talked with Everly for a few minutes while I got mic'ed up. We talked about her own baby girl, Summer Rain, and what every mom can agree on: time sure does fly.
Although, even Xtina had to admit, there are some days with the kiddos that you wish would fly by a little faster.
Thankfully, Ev was a champ and stayed perfectly quiet in her stroller while I conducted the interview just a few feet away.
The "Come On Over" singer also opened up about how being a Mama Bear impacted her decision to bring her show to Vegas, and how her 11-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter love to be included in her showbiz world.
"They would both get mad at me, to be honest, if I didn't include them at some point, if I didn't bring them on stage at the end of the show," she said of last fall's Liberation Tour.
Christina's 16-show residency launches on May 31 and will continue with performances in June, September and October.
